On October 13, on the basis of educational and scientific institutes № 1, 2 and 3 of NAIA, the ceremony of taking the Oath of a Police Officer and the Oath of a Lyceum Student took place. The event was attended by about 800 cadets from all regions of Ukraine, as well as freshmen of the Yaroslav Kondratiev Law Lyceum.

The honorary right to read the text of the Oath of a Lyceum Student of the Yaroslav Kondratiev Law Lyceum was given to Alona Bazylenko. The girl's father died in the line of duty. On this holiday, Alona and hundreds of other freshmen were adopted to the large family of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.

The text of the Policeman's Oath was pronounced by Bohdan Lehetskyi. Bohdan's mother also works in the police.

The audience paid tribute to the memory of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Police General of the Second Rank Volodymyr Cherniei, addressed the participants of the event and viewers of the broadcast with a welcoming speech: "Current cadets will have to continue reforming the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and strengthen public confidence. From the first semesters, they will acquire the necessary skills of duty service, and then there will be work in police units: regular units, investigative and operational groups, participation in maintaining public order."

Soon our cadets will start serving in all regions of the country to ensure public order during local elections.

Volodymyr Vasylovych instructed future officers: he wished them to be worthy of the motto of the National Police of Ukraine - "Serve and protect", proudly carry the honorary title of lyceum student and cadet of the NAIA, strengthening the authority of the Academy, respect relatives and follow the example of parents.

"We are young, so we will overcome everything," assured the participants of the vocal studio "Koloryt", they were supported by the dance group of the folk song and dance ensemble of NAIA.

The festive program was complemented by a performance of the ensemble of drummers of the Academy. The ceremony ended with a solemn march.
