Participation of NAIA in the main holiday of Ukraine
24-08-2020The capital celebrates the 29th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. During the celebrations with the participation of the President of Ukraine, our higher education institution was represented by police officers and the National Ensemble of Drummers of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
Official events dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine began on August 24 on Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv with a ceremony, honoring the memory of fallen defenders. After that, the President went to Sofia Square, where the National Anthem of Ukraine was played and ten festive volleys were made. A ceremonial group of soldiers of the honor guard company raised the State Flag of Ukraine. Then the Head of State made his speech and presented State Awards.
A bright part of the festivities was a song, collected from hits of different times, which was performed by famous singers of Ukraine. National Ensemble of Drummers of the National Academy of Internal Affairs also took part in the performances of the stars.
After the solemn part, the representatives of the Academy lined up in a line led by the rector of the NAIA, Police General of the second rank Volodymyr Cherniei, and went to Mykhailivska Square.
In addition to military commanders and cadets of the Academy, a team of paramedics of the NAIA, who were on duty during the event, also joined the festivities.
Volodymyr Cherniei thanked the staff for their active participation in the celebration of the Independence Day. During the solemn meeting, an order to assign regular special ranks of junior police officers to the cadets of the NAIA was announced.
The spectacular performance of the Ensemble of Drummers of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was accompanied by enthusiastic responses and applause from Kyiv residents and guests of the capital. The holiday ended with a general photo shoot.
