On January 18th National Academy of Internal Affairs with the support of EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine launched a set of workshops on leadership and management skills improvement for heads of Kyiv region police units and departments. Candidates were selected in the framework of участі в проекті «Peace and stability promotion» project. During the workshop participants were familiarized with leadership skills development and peculiarities of law enforcement management.

The event was opened by NAIA Rector Volodymyr Cherniei – he underlined that NAIA was one of the pillars of Ukrainian law enforcement reforming process Combination of powerful resource base and experience creates potential for active search of new training approaches in terms of leadership and management skills shaping and its further implementation.

Head of EUAM Kęstutis Lančinskas noted that successful leadership is a result of good teamwork. «I’ve worked in police for 26 years – directors are always in spotlight with their achievements and mistakes. It is all about responsibility and succession. Such workshops are intended to help the leaders stabilize the office “climate” and raise the efficiency».
