Command-and-staff training began at the National Academy of Internal Affairs with the support of the British Embassy
08-10-2018International command-and-staff training "Непорушна Стійкість 2018 / Coherent Resilience 2018 (COREX 2018)" started at the Academy on October 8. The main approach was the implementation of a stand-alone function of different sectors of the state in critical situations.
Among the participants are: representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine; the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine; the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine; the State Emergency Service of Ukraine; National police of Ukraine; National Institute for Strategic Studies; Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine etc.
The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tetyana Kovalchuk, Deputy Head of the British Diplomatic Mission to Ukraine Helen Fazey and Vice-Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Serhii Cherniavskyi. "It is a great honor for me to welcome you to the opening of these command-and-staff training, which will consolidate our efforts and skills. Now, we are going to create a ramified state system to protect objects of infrastructure which are critically important for Ukraine, and provide access to a quick restoration of infrastructure." Explained Tetyana Kovalchuk during introductory speech.
For his part, vice-rector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Serhii Cherniavskyi congratulated the participants and thanked them for the opportunity to hold an important event at the academy.
In her speech, Deputy Head of the British Diplomatic Mission to Ukraine Helen Fazey thanked Ukraine for active participation in trainings. She stressed, that Britain was ready to help in protection of critically important infrastructure.
Command-and-staff training will continue until October 11. It will include the development of scenarios for ensuring the sustainability of various sectors of the state in crisis situations, crisis planning and crisis communication.
