Strengthening cooperation with UN Office in Ukraine
16-03-2018On March 15th NAIA Special and Physical Training Unit with the support of UNDSS (UN Department for Security and Safety) held training session «Practical aspects of UN personnel safety ensuring in the field environment».
The aim of this training was set as mastering the algorithms of actions to be taken in challenging environment including deployment in humanitarian crisis zones with high risk of conflict escalation, check point inspections, settlement of disputes with locals, response to emergency situations (vehicle theft and hostage taking).
Participants represented staff of UNHCR Office in Ukraine, UNDSS Office in Ukraine, OCHA Office in Ukraine, IOM Office in Ukraine, UNFPA Office in Ukraine, logistic service of WFP Office in Ukraine, FAO Office in Ukraine.
NAIA teaching staff and cadets were invited to take part in training simulations and scenarios development.
