Specialists of relevant departments, research laboratories and research and teaching staff of the National Academy of Internal Affairs have taken part in an interagency seminar on topical issues of quality assurance in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions. The National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine provided the platform for the meeting.

The event is dedicated to the professional discussion on current issues and theoretical developments of mechanisms for ensuring the higher education quality and higher education standards as a basis for the formation and implementation of educational and professional programs.

The seminar was held in a mixed format. Participants represented leading scientific institutions, higher education institutions with specific learning conditions, public organizations. The event was opened by the head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education Serhiy Kvit with a report on quality assurance of a modern university. In particular, he stressed the need to develop university leadership with a unique internal culture, taking into account national differences in ensuring the quality of higher education, regular student surveys and professional development of teachers.

The presented developments focus on: challenges and prospects for assessing the higher education quality (in particular, the need for a special budget program to compensate for the costs of higher education accreditation), sustainable cooperation with stakeholders, development of educational programs, reduction of administrative resources for plagiarism. The seminar was informative and useful for all subjects of educational activity of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions.
