The modern approach to education at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, as at an institution with specific training conditions, creates high requirements for graduates and distinguishes them as competitive, in-demand professionals in the labor market. Opportunities for cadets, students, trainees, teachers and department heads are provided to develop, acquire and improve practical skills – the main criterion for assessing the potential of the university.

For three days, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Criminal Procedure of the NAIA, led by the Head of the Department, police colonel Mark Makarov, together with the Head of the Educational and Methodical Unit, lieutenant colonel Stanislava Kolodeichak were trained to improve the skills of pre-medical care.

The activities of a police officer are potentially associated with the emergency possibility, and one of the main responsibilities of a police officer is to provide emergency medical care to victims, who have suffered from offenses or are in a helpless state.

Recognize the signs of a cerebral hemorrhage in a timely manner, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation correctly, provide assistance in case of an epileptic seizure, use an automatic external defibrillator, help a person whose airway got a foreign object – these are the basic skills that will definitely come in handy in a critical situation.

During the course, employees of the Department worked with modern medical equipment, using mannequins and first aid algorithms in situations as close as possible to real life.

The participants of the course received the appropriate certificates based on the results of the final testing.

The knowledge and skills acquired during the training can be useful not only in the performance of official duties, but also in everyday life. Therefore, NAIA employees are ready to act effectively in any critical circumstances.
