The National Academy of Internal Affairs launched a round table within the framework of "Cooperation project 2"24-10-2018
Today at the National Academy of Internal Affairs a round table, which will last for two days, has been launched.
The event will take place with the participation of foreign experts, as well as representatives of leading international organizations and diplomatic institutions, working on assistance of establishing contacts between the academy and the national structures of Italy.
Among the participants are: Persons Deputy Interior Minister Tetyana Kovalchuk; Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin; Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Andrew Meisner; the leadership of the Academy and its scientific and pedagogical staff; representatives of Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs; Ministry of Finance of Ukraine; National Police of Ukraine; Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine; State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and other state institutions.
Italian delegation is represented by: Head of the Department for the Prevention of Fraud against the EU at the Presidium of the Italian Council of Ministers, Major-General of the Financial Guard of Italy Francesco Attradi; representatives of the Office of the Prime Minister of Italy; representatives of Anti-fraud coordination service of Italy (Anzhelo Zedde, Vinchentso Branchi, Alessandro Skiuto); members of the Main Command of the Financial Guard of Italy (Colonel Paolo Borelli, major Tomas Milone). There are a lot of revered guests: Deputy of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Ukraine – Matteo Cristoforo; law enforcement officer Giovanni d'Alascio; communication officer of The European Anti-Fraud Office – Audrius Poviliunas.
Opening the round table, the rector of the Academy Volodymyr Cherniei, second rank police general thanked the guests for responding to the invitation. He noted that Ukrainian law enforcement and other state institutions with experience of financial investigations are actively reforming with the support of foreign partners.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tetyana Kovalchuk stressed that this event gives an opportunity to carefully analyze the establishment of mechanisms for the exchange of information, as well as strengthening and building up the potential within the framework of cooperation in the anti-fraud areas and saving of the European Union finances.
The meeting was very effective, as the participants prepared interesting and meaningful presentations, which caused an extraordinary interest from both sides. It was confirmed by fruitful discussion.
Tomorrow the round table will continue its work.
