From 12 to 15 March 2019, a course on Integrity during Peacekeeping Operations was held under the auspices of the NATO Integrity Initiative. During the four-day workshop, NATO experts and representatives of the Training Center for Peacekeeping Operations from Bosnia and Herzegovina highlighted the importance of integrity, ethics, values and successful resource management in the context of international peacekeeping operations and missions. During the plenary lectures and working in the syndicates (as a part of theoretical classes), participants had the opportunity to face many cases of corruption and their consequences in practice. Among the participants were representatives of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, as well as agencies involved in the fight against corruption, namely, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, which demonstrated the importance of the NATO Integrity Education Program for the security and defense institutions of Ukraine.

The rector of the NAIA Volodymyr Cherniei, the vice-rector of the academy Stanislav Husariev, the Deputy Head of the NATO-Ukraine Cooperation Office, Oleksii Henchev, the representatives of the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as the Manager of the NATO Integrity Initiative of the NATO Delegation in Ukraine Kristofer Shtaudt (Federal Republic of Germany), took part in the event.

This course is part of the annual Work Program of Cooperation between the NATO Integrity Initiative and Ukraine. The knowledge gained during the seminar will help increase the level of professional training of military personnel before their deployment to missions. Over the past five years, NATO Integrity Initiative Managers have been conducting this course at various educational institutions and ministries. Previously this course was held in Lviv, Kiev and Kharkiv. For the second time an expert from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine joined the team of experts and take a speech during the course.

After completing the work, the participants received certificates.
