Meeting our Bavarian colleagues
08-08-2018Today NAIA launched 3-day international seminar with participation of international experts from Bavarian Readiness Police (III unit, Würzburg, Germany) - Chief Commissioner Uwe Hückmann and Commissioner Frank Bäuerlein and representatives of MIA of Ukraine.
The event is held within the framework of joint German-Ukrainian project “Modernization of NPU staff educational system”.
Ukrainian and foreign participants intend to discuss the issues related to organization of police officers basic professional training (Bavarian Readiness Police and National Police of Ukraine), schedules and plans elaboration with due attention to practical component.
Seminar was opened by Deputy Rector Serhii Cherniavskyi: «First of all I would like to express gratitude to Hanns Seidel Foundation Office in Ukraine whose support guarantees an opportunity to organize these events.
We cannot claim that basic professional training is a completely new phenomenon for our law enforcement education system – this element has always been present at our Academy and other educational establishments. But in the course of MIA reforming and establishment of NPU we face serious challenge – the scope is dramatically expanding and programs require updating. Due to these transformations the responsible task of organizing selection and training of patrol police staff was delegated to law enforcement universities and institutes – and we clearly see that this task has been successfully accomplished.
Therefore, getting ready to analyze the best practices of Ukrainian representatives (with Bavarian experience as its core component), we may be sure that all discussions will bring us to constructive conclusions».
