On July 5, Gerd Enkling, Head of Bavarian State Training Division of Readiness Police, visited the Academy with an official visit within the framework of the joint project of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

The program of foreign colleagues’ residence at the Academy included a demonstration of the implemented elements of the new training system and advanced training for the Ukrainian police forces as the main competence of Higher Educational Institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

In addition, the work of the Kiev Center for Primary Training "Police Academy" was highlighted, including the specifics of the introduction of the Ukrainian police innovations and the experience of foreign colleagues.

At the same time, the center's leadership focused on the usage of the latest technologies and improving of primary vocational training. Gerd Enkling also visited the Educational and Research Institution number 1, where he became acquainted with the system of training for the NAIA students.

A round table (the final stage of the visit) was held on July 8.

Within the framework of the event, the results of the joint project of the National Academy of Internal Affairs with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Bavarian Readiness Police were discussed. During the official part, foreign colleagues reviewed multimedia presentations and video clips about the work of the Institute for Senior Staff Training and Advanced Training, preparation of higher education applicants, police officers of the Kiev Center for Primary Training “Police Academy”. The participants summarized the results of cooperation between the Ukrainian Police and the Bavarian Readiness Police Center, carried out a comparative description of police training systems and outlined directions for further joint work.
