New Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023
06-06-2018New Gender Equality Strategy is a key element of the Council of Europe mission fulfillment aimed at human rights protection, democracy promotion and strengthening rule of law.
Gender Equality Strategy has 6 strategic aims – prevention of gender stereotyping, sexism; combating domestic violence and violence toward women; ensuring equal access of women to fair justice, their balanced representation in government; protection of female migrants, female refugees, female asylum seekers and its implementation is planned to be completed in 6 years.
Updated Strategy proves the intention of EU to promote the elaboration of solutions to current problems and elimination of obstacles on the way to complete gender equality achievement.
