JOINT NATO PDP CONFERENCE UKRAINE-GEORGIA
03-08-2017On July 18th-19th JOINT NATO PDP CONFERENCE UKRAINE-GEORGIA took place at the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine with more than 200 participants from different government authorities, embassies, educational institutions, providers of the training courses, international and national experts taking part in the conference. NAIA was presented by Oleksandr Striltsiv – Head of Scientific Laboratory on Criminal Police Issues.
The goal of the event was to present the updated policy – PDP or Professional Development Program - and its implementation strategy to a wide range of the partners and stakeholders and share the international experience of the professional development as a key element of the public sector reform.
PDP-session was concentrated on growing demand for efficient cooperation between Ukrainian civil servants, NGOs, media representatives and awareness raising on the role of defence and security sector strengthening in countervailing the Russian aggression.
During the second session - «Hybrid war: international experience and national response» - participants were offered to discuss the following issues: hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine: raising awareness of the international community, establishment of a hybrid warfare course for Ukrainian public servants, comprehensive national cyber security capacity building, strategic communication and insights from both sides of the government and commercial sectors, Informational behaviour of defence volunteers in Ukraine and strengthening the national resilience as response to hybrid threats.
