«Implementation of state anti-corruption policy in international dimension»
08-12-2017At the point of International Anti-Corruption Day NAIA held ІІ international scientific conference «Implementation of state anti-corruption policy in international dimension» with the support of Ministry of Interior of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, EUAM, National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Civil Council of MoI of Ukraine, NGO «Center of Corruption Prevention and Combating».
Representatives of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Ministry of Interior of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine, judiciary and government bodies, research institutes, NGOs and educational establishments took part in discussions regarding amendments to applicable anti-corruption legislation, revision of methodology and approaches shaping the operational capacity of specialized anti-corruption institutions, drafting recommendations on anti-corruption measures implementation, incorporation of best foreign practices and specific legislative provisions in educational programs.
Deputy Minister of Interior of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk noted that law enforcement reforming process that was successfully launched three years ago has developed into a new stage – draft of newly approved MoI Development Strategy 2020. This strategy presents citizens’ rights and interests as core priorities, including their safety, freedom of movement and right for high-quality services. This will ensure the minimized level of corruption within the system, its updated structure and staff capacity extension along with unfluctuating level of trust to public officials. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Roman Hreba appealed for scientists’ efforts to be directed at in-depth analysis of corruptive factors and efficient tools for control and neutralization of this dangerous phenomenon.
