Foreign police experience of crime combating
05-12-2016ІІ Interuniversity Scientific and Practical Conference was organized in National Academy of Internal Affairs for cadets and students on December 5th – the event was aimed to motivate future police officers and lawyers to provide their own vision of current global challenges in law enforcement sector and improve their knowledge of foreign languages.
Special guests were invited to take part in the event – legal attachés from the US and French Embassies Johannes M. Van Den Hoogen and Jean-Luc Laumont.
Conference was opened by the First Deputy Rector of NAIA Stanislav Husariev who underlined the importance of raising awareness of future police officers concerning international criminal environment - cybercrime, human trafficking, illegal distribution of weapon and drugs, money laundering etc.
Deputy Rector of NAIA Serhii Cherniavsky also stressed on relevance of special legal vocabularies design and improvement within the framework of established international cooperation formats.
The liveliest discussions marked the following presentations of NAIA cadets and students: «Illegal Organ Trafficking. International Experience of the USA and China» (Sofiia Cherniavska), «The Worldwide Experience in Fighting Money Laundering» (Vlad Shkolnikov), «La lutte contre cybercriminalité en France» (Kristina Padurar), «La lutte contre le trafic de stupéfiants en France» (Irina Mala), «Organisierte Kriminalität im Schatten der Öffentlichkeit» (Olha Bashtova).
Foreign experience, presented in the reports, allowed to compare the legislative environment and law enforcement practice in different countries with relevant conclusions made concerning Ukraine.
Many interesting and detailed multimedia reports were presented by cadets and students of State Fiscal Service University: «How Croatia is Fighting with Corruption and Organized Crime?» (Оlha Kudria and Elvira Kotukh), «Juvenile Delinquency as a Global Problem: the Ukrainian and International Experience of Counteraction» (Аnastasia Rydinska), «Cyber Security Strategy of New Zealand» (Оleksandra Filippova).
