Establishment of training center for paramedics
31-03-2018On March 31st on the base of NAIA Special and Physical Training Unit an official ceremony marking the establishment of training center for paramedics was held.
High officials were present at the ceremony including Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, Deputy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olha Bohomolets, First Deputy Head of NPU Viacheslav Abroskin, Rector of National Academy of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Cherniei, Head of NATO Representation to Ukraine Oleksandr Vinnikov, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Romania to Ukraine Cristian-Leon Țurcanu, Head of State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechiotkin, Director of Vasyl Korobka and Deputy Director of MIA Medical Support Department Liudmyla Shostak.
Arsen Avakov opened the ceremony stating the importance of event in the scope of current internal security sector reforming and expressing gratitude to foreign partners for organization and provision of technical and methodological support for the training.
Head of NATO Representation to Ukraine Oleksandr Vinnikov mentioned that establishment of training center was one of steps successfully completed in the course of NATO “Science for Peace and Security” project and Ukraine demonstrated its determination and readiness as active project participant.
All trainees received their certificates.
Deputy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olha Bohomolets greeted guests and participants and expressed expectations for these centers to be established in every region contributing to security and social development all over the state.
The newly established center for paramedics is a fully equipped training unit with computerized classrooms, required medical equipment and simulators. Center is intended to provide educational services to drivers, firemen, police officers, emergency service staff and employees of enterprises with high risk of emergency situations on paramedical care in accordance with international standards.
Training on paramedical care is a part of NATO “Science for Peace and Security” project supported by Romania, the USA, Finland and Moldova.
