"Not just relevant, but a vital part of police training in today's conditions are different tactics of police actions in case of an explosive object detection" - this is how the topic of the lesson was outlined by specialist of the Explosives Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region and the Department of Tactical-Special, Physical and Fire Training of the Precarpathian Faculty (Ivano-Frankivsk) of the National Academy of Internal Affairs Andrii Melnyk.

During the binary lesson, the first-year cadets were acquainted with the procedure and features of response in situations of official activities related to the detection of explosive objects. In particular, explosives experts demonstrated samples and models of improvised explosive devices, which pose the highest danger due to the fact that the methods of their initiation and masking are extremely difficult to predict, and focused on personal safety measures when handling them.

The cadets were also shown the peculiarities of the service dog's activity during the search for explosives.

Conducting classes with the participation of explosives service practitioners is an extremely important component of the educational process, especially in the context of counteracting illegal armed groups that have been active in Ukraine in recent years.
