AEPC Governing Board Meeting
11-05-2017On June 5th NAIA delegation presented by the Deputy Rector Serhii Cherniavskyi and Head of Research Unit Anna Tytko took part in AEPC Governing Board Meeting in the framework of service trip to Tbilisi (Georgia).
Since its creation in 1996 (Brussels, Belgium), the Association of European Police Colleges has been a friendly and efficient network of police colleges from all over European continent; current membership – 54 colleges (NAIA was granted membership on July 4th 2003).
Academy of the MIA of Georgia was elected as the permanent member of AEPC Governing Board sidestepping Hungary and Czech Republic. Gabor Kovacs – Vice-rector for education of the Hungarian National University of Public Service – was elected as AEPC Vice President. Upon the recommendation of Givi Mikhanadze – Rector of Academy of the MIA of Georgia – AEPC membership was given to Armenian Police Educational Complex, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs and Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Approximately 50 delegates from law enforcement educational establishments took part in AEPC Governing Board Meeting (19 states including 12 EU members).
The priority issue for the NAIA delegation was the establishment of partnership with Armenian Police Educational Complex (Rector – Oganes Varian) and Academy of the MIA of Azerbaijan (Rector – Nazim Aliev).
