100 Years to the National Academy of Internal Affairs!05-07-2021
On July 5, the academy celebrated two significant dates – the Day of the National Police of Ukraine and the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
Anniversary events of the state level took place at the main suburban location of the Academy (Vita-Poshtova village, Kyiv region).
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy greeted the police officers and the staff of the Academy. In his speech, the Head of State praised the police as the main law enforcement agency, wished the police success in their work, and thanked the administration, research and teaching staff of the Academy for the quality training of the new generation of police officers. Important instructions were addressed to young lieutenants, who are three times jubilees on this date: they receive their diplomas in the year of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine and the 100th anniversary of their alma mater.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov also congratulated new police officers.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and the Rector of the Academy Volodymyr Cherniei presented diplomas and shoulder marks of senior police lieutenants to the best graduates.
The Head of State presented awards to a number of police practitioners and academics.
By the decree of the President of Ukraine, the Rector of the Academy Volodymyr Cherniei was promoted to the special rank of "Police General of the First Rank".
