Visit to Belarus
26-05-2017Recently representatives of NAIA took part in annual rhetoric contest «Cicero–2017» organized by the Academy of MIA of Republic of Belarus Head of Legal Record Management Department Nataliia Stratulat, 3rd year cadets Yaroslav Samarskyi and Kateryna Solodenko (Institute №2).
The first contest was held in 2000 upon the initiative of professor Vasyl Holubiev (Psychology and Pedagogics Department of Academy of MIA of Republic of Belarus) to develop the cadets’ and students’ oratorical and communication skills. This year the contest was commemorating the 100th anniversary of Belarusian militia with 49 contestants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, China, Nigeria, Turkmenistan and Ukraine competing.
The semifinalists’ task was to present 3-minute speech focusing on contribution on national law enforcement and the most prominent figures.
Only 12 participants came to the final part including NAIA cadets. The task was to debate on a randomly chosen topic.
All finalists were awarded with diplomas, medals and presents. Yaroslav Samarskyi was marked by the panel for creative approach and power of conviction.
An interesting excursion around Minsk was also organized for the participants.
